All Saints Cathedral Diocese seeks to recruit a Diocesan Mission Director whose role will be to co-ordinate all mission work.
The position is a 5 year contract, renewable once.
  • To provide visionary leadership and direction for the development of Mission programs and resources.
  • To liaise with the parishes in providing vision and strategy for missions.
  • To partner with likeminded organizations and personnel in enhancing the mission work in order to reach out to many and win souls for Christ.
  • To develop policies, strategies, plans and budget for resource development within the mission department.
  • To raise funds for the operations, programs and capital needs of the mission department together with all the heads of departments within the mission department.
  • To ensure mission is in the top agenda of the following groups Mothers Union, KAMA, Youth Brigade, Sunday School) and institutions.
Qualifications and Experience
  • An Ordained Anglican Priest.
  • A demonstrated passion for evangelism and discipleship
  • A master’s degree (preferably) in Theology or Missiology
  • Ministry experience of at least 5 years in a leadership position including mission development
  • A clear leadership gift with the ability to articulate vision, motivate and supervise volunteers, delegate responsibility and develop people to maximize their potential.
  • A sober, Godly life and character with great capacity to adapt to complex and changing situations.
  • A capable manager who can administer projects, programs and departments optimally and sustainably.
  • Evidence of financial literacy and the capacity to exercise sound judgment and management practices in the oversight of resources.
  • Physical energy and the ability to cope with long hours of work and extensive travel.
  • If married, have an exemplary life
  • Good proposal writing and fundraising skills.
  • Computer literate
  • Excellent oral and written communication in both English and Kiswahili
  • Good experience in resource mobilization and partnership development
  • A recommendation letter from the Diocesan Bishop and other two referees.
  • Aged between 30 -45 years.
