For our office in Nairobi we are seeking to employ a Junior Project Engineer
Summary Job Description:
In early stage development projects, the Junior Engineer will work under the supervision of a Project Engineer to evaluate project proposals.
Specifically, the Junior Engineer will be involved in evaluating technical viability of prefeasibility studies and feasibility studies.
Under the guidance of a Project’s Engineer, the Junior Engineer will, gather technical data on projects, prepare cost estimates, draft project design drawings using AutoCad and provide general support as needed.
During the execution phase of projects that we decide to invest in, the Junior Engineer will work under the supervision of the Project Engineer on the supervision of the construction of power plants and contractor work.
While you will be based in Nairobi, a substantial amount of time is expected to be spent travelling in East Africa.
To fulfil these requirements, you possess:
- An undergraduate degree in an engineering discipline with top academic credentials
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Ability to grasp concepts and learn quickly
- Strong communication and intercultural skills
- Excellent oral and written English, additional African language skills would be an added advantage
