Our client, Quintech Construction Ltd, a reputable Nairobi based construction firm with over 10 years experience in the industry is seeking to improve its operations by engaging qualified Kenyans to fill the following positions;

General Manager

Roles
  • Seek and prospect new business for the firm
  • Accountable for profitability, performance on set targets and budget
  • Report on the financial performance to the MD and the Board
  • Providing direction and leadership to other employees and ensure clear focus on set targets
  • Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer experience by handling customer needs and queries
  • Schedule meeting to ensure proper workflow and priorities
  • Ensure communication of performance targets through monthly meetings
  • Carry out internal performance appraisals and discipline recommend staff recruitment and
  • Manage jobs to ensure that profit margins are defended or increased
  • Ensure that all sub contractors, suppliers and consultants are facilitated and carry out their roles as per the agreed standards
Entry Requirements
  • Degree from a recognized college
  • Diploma in project management
  • Master Degree or Certificate in Marketing or CPA 2 will be an added advantage
  • Have at least 3 years experience in a managerial position in a busy and reputable firm especially in the construction or real estate businesses
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to achieve results
  • Ability to formulate and follow up on its implementation
  • Experience in Marketing or project management will be an added advantage
  • Ability to network across all industries/sectors with confidence
  • Show outstanding skills in project management, marketing, finance management and administration
  • Excellent relationship building and communication skills
Projects Manager
Roles
  • Filling in building tender documents and ensuring the tenders are delivered on time
  • Leading the implementation of all projects by preparing detailed schedules and ensuring availability of all required resources
  • Developing BQs and leading in project implementation including commissioning, continuous evaluation and reporting
  • Monitoring and reviewing progress and performance of projects to meet plan objects
  • Monitor and supervise subcontractors and suppliers to ensure the adhere to the set guidelines
  • Identify, implement and benchmarking best practices
  • Developing, training, supervising and motivating the projects team including site supervisors, warehouse supervisors and workers to achieve the highest levels of performance
  • Manage project costs to ensure that profit margins are defended or increased
  • Ensuring delivery of exceptional customer experience by handling queries at the project site
  • Schedule meeting with project implementation team to ensure proper workflow and timelines
  • Monitor use of company resources at project sites.
Entry Requirements
  • Diploma in Quantity Survey from a recognized college in Kenya
  • Diploma in project management will be an added advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in computer applications
  • Have at least 3 years experience in the same capacity in a busy in the construction firm.
Office Administrator
Roles
  • Management of the office
  • Ensuring security of office records, documents and equipments including classified materials
  • Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of correspondence in the office
  • Management of office protocol; handling telephone calls and appointments
  • Preparing responses to simple routine correspondence
  • Operating office equipments
Entry Requirements
  • At least a diploma in Business Administration or related discipline from a recognized college in Kenya
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications especially Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Internet
  • Have at least 1 year experience in the same capacity in a busy in the firm.
  • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
  • Any other duties that shall be allocated from time to time

Accountant
Roles
  • Handling all financial and cost accounting roles including filling of taxes and other deductions
  • Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
  • Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
  • Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow
  • Review payment vouchers & journal entries
  • Review all purchases requests and invoices
  • Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
  • Issue project cost reports for review and approval.
  • Maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
  • Perform any other assigned role
Entry Requirements
  • CPA finalist or CPA (K) holder
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications especially Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Internet
  • Should have Tax computation skills
  • Proficiency in use of QuickBooks in accounting is a MUST
  • Have at least 3 years experience in the same capacity in a busy private firm.
  • Have proven experience in preparing narrative reports, financial analysis and management accounts
  • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
Procurement Officer
Roles
  • Prepare procurement plans for review by the management
  • Follow all purchases requests and ensure purchases are procured and delivered to the sites timely
  • Source and negotiate for best prices from suppliers
  • Monitor the use and maintenance of company resources including vehicles
  • Train and supervise store keepers
  • Continuously monitor performance of site store keepers
  • Any other duties that shall be allocated from time to time
Entry Requirements
  • Diploma in procurement from a recognized college in Kenya
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer applications especially Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms PowerPoint and Internet
  • Have at least 1 year experience in the same capacity in a busy in the firm.
  • Show merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results
