Expression of Interest
Consultancy Services to Develop Business Continuity Plan (Disaster Recovery Plan) and Supply and Installation of Film Preview Equipment 
Kenya Film Classification Board is a government agency mandated by part (iii) of the Films and Stage Plays Act to examine and classify films meant for public exhibition and distribution.

Kenya Film Classification Board invites Expressions of Interest (EOI) from eligible consultancy firms to undertake the following assignments:

a) Expression of Interest for developing a business continuity capacity – KFCB/EOI/010/2013-2014 whose objective is assuring timely resumption of critical business functions in the event of major disruptions or disaster.
Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
Kenya Film Classification Board intends to develop a Business Continuity Plan as a tool to improve its resilience by identifying, in advance, potential impacts of a wide variety of sudden disruptions to its ability to continue to operate smoothly in the face of disaster.
The expectations of the BCP include but not limited to the following: Corporate Continuity; Corporate Crisis Management; Corporate Systems; Corporate Facilities; Corporate People and Regulatory Requirements.
b) Expression of Interest for Supply, Installation, Testing and Maintenance of Film Preview Equipment – KFCB/EOI/011/2013-2014
KFCB wishes to acquire equipment that will enable it to examine and classify audiovisual content packaged in different formats.
The supplier will be expected to supply the equipment, install, test, train staff on the use of the equipment and provide maintenance services.
Objective of the EOIs
The objective of these Expressions of Interest is to shortlist eligible firms capable of undertaking the assignments.
Interested Eligible firms for each of the above EOIs must provide the following:
(a) Executive summary
(b) Detailed Company Profile
(c) Proposed Project management approach
(d) Accreditation in Business Continuity Planning by an internationally recognized professional body (for KFCB/EOI/010/2013-2014)
(e) Proposed Project Team Staffing demonstrating technical capability to undertake the assignment.
(f) Expected Outputs
(g) Proposed Project Time Schedule
(i) Provide proof of having conducted assignments of similar nature with reputable clients (at least 3) in the last 5 years preferably in the public sector (description of assignment, status, client names and addresses).
Attach reference/recommendation letters.
(j) Must submit copies of valid tax compliance certificate, PIN certificate and Certificate of Incorporation.
(k) Demonstrate knowledge in media monitoring systems. (for KFCB/EOI/011/2013-2014)
(l) Reference from the manufacturer of the equipment (for KFCB/EOI/011/2013-2014)
(m) Demonstrate knowledge in Television content system (for KFCB/EOI/011/2013-2014)
EOIs in plain sealed envelopes, bearing the relevant tender reference number and item description with the instructions “Do not open before 12th February 2014 at 10.00am” should be addressed to:

Expressions of Interest submitted later than the closing date and time shall automatically be disqualified whatever the circumstances.
Clarifications, if any, may be obtained from the Senior Supply Chain Management Officer.
Expressions of Interest will be opened soon thereafter at the Kenya Film Classification Board’s, Boardroom, 15th Floor, Aga Khan Walk, Nairobi, Kenya in the presence of candidates and/or their representatives who choose to attend.
Only short-listed firms will be invited to submit Request for Proposals (RFP) for the Consultancy Services.
Expressions of Interest are not transferable.
Kenya Film Classification Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Expressions of Interest either in whole or part.
