Key Duties and Responsibilities
To take care of and maintain Information Technology systems coordinating the repair and maintenance of hardware systems, including investigating and resolving computer hardware and software problems reported by users to determine whether problem is caused by hardware such as modem, printer, cable, telephone line or software problem such as virus attack etc.
To monitor, diagnose and troubleshoot the Computer network backbone which includes network Switching systems and servers, organizational data and information, telephone communication systems and intelligent terminal equipment.
To establish relationships with business towards delivery of technical support and solutions
To co-ordinate with external vendors to ensure efficient implementation of outsourced technical solutions and projects.
To maintain a high availability of the IT infrastructure to support the related business, with focus on efficient problem resolution, operational routines and change execution.
Minimum Education/ Experience/Personal Specifications required
Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent qualifications.
Knowledge of Oracle SQL, database and decision support programs.
At least 4 years in experience in system analysis, design, programming, installation and customization of computer hardware systems including integrated software programmes. Previous experience in a Bank will be added advantage.
Three years hands on experience in managing core networks including switching, routing and wide area networks.
Knowledge in bank infrastructure including ATM and Branch networks would be an added advantage.
