Technicians

3 Positions

Salary Range KShs 19,000 – 25,000

Serves customers by installing and servicing systems and products.
 
Technician Job Duties:
  • Serves existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.

Job Duties:

  • Implements marketing and advertising campaigns by assembling and analyzing sales forecasts; preparing marketing and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; updating calendars.
  • Tracks product line sales and costs by analyzing and entering sales, expense, and new business data.
  • Prepares marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales data.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Specific responsibilities include the following:
  • Engage with key stake holders, internal to understand the product and user requirements
  • Generate appropriate design documents to clearly represent the solutions being created
  • Work with other development team members to allow them to implement the designs, including design and code reviews
  • Implement and code solutions
  • Generate unit tests and use other testing strategies to ensure the quality of the implementation
Skills & Requirements: 
  • 2+ years commercial System design experience using C for Chip level coding and C++
  • Experience developing embedded Windows/Linux products in a Windows/ Linux  environment.
  • Experience using the Boost C/C++Libraries
  • Eligible to work in Kenya
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent in MCU programming in C language.
  • Desired candidate  experience and skills/capabilities  include:
  • Experience within an Agile development methodology, in particular Scrum would be beneficial
  • Previous work with large scale networks and systems
  • Previous work with MSP430/ZigBee/GPS/GSM/MCU or other low power wireless mesh networking technologies
  • Experience developing with MSSQL, MySQL
