Our client one of Kenya’s leading Tourism and Travel Management companies is seeking to hire a brilliant Finance Manager preferably within the Tours & Travel industry.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Credit policy formulation and implementation
  • Providing and interpreting financial information to the directors
  • Monitoring and interpreting cash flows and predicting future trends;
  • Researching and reporting on factors influencing business performance;
  • Analyzing competitors and market trends;
  • Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk;
  • Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities;
  • Managing a company’s financial accounting, monitoring and reporting systems;
  • Liaising with auditors to ensure annual monitoring is carried out;
  • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, solicitors, bankers and statutory organizations
  • Producing accurate financial reports to specific deadlines;
  • Managing budgets of the company
  • Arranging new sources of finance for a company’s debt facilities
  • Keeping abreast of changes in financial regulations and legislation
  • Financial advice and support to the board to enable them make sound business decisions
  • Payroll administration
  • Management accounts reporting– income statement-profit and loss account- trial balance- cash flow.
  • Tax & Remittances management
  • Uploading and BSP posting
  • ADMS, ACMS management
  • Total overview of the operations involving finance
  • Ensure suppliers contracts are in order
  • Liaise with marketing department to ensure all contracts are in place
  • Payment contracts, for any payment to be done the supplier contract should be attached
  • Clients opening accounts/ contracts new users designating with the directors user margins
  • Ensure Directors Credit cards are paid on time and posted accordingly
  • Maintain Asset register and ensure all assets are well recorded and filed
  • Monthly sales reports for all travel consultants
  • Coordinating with the bank for overdrafts etc
  • Meeting the other departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications & Skills
  • Finance / Economics / Business Administration / management / statistics or Mathematics degree Must have CPA(K)
  • High school Mean Grade must be B- and above
  • Must have at least 10 years in a busy working environment 5 of which must have been in a senior or management level
  • Knowledge of the travel Industry will be added advantage
  • Must have the ability to work with the major financial accounting systems
