A large international logistic group mandates Adexen Recruitment Agency to find a Transit/Freight forwarding manager for his operations in Tanzania.

Job description

The transit manager is in charge of all Air and Maritime transits for Tanzania.
It is a senior Freight forwarder role.

Responsibilities

His/her main responsibilities are:

•    He/She animates, coordinate and controls the work done by his teams;
•    He/She brings the necessary assistance and advise to the clients;
•    He/She handles all client requests and claims in relation to his scope of activities;
•    He/She guaranties that all procedures are runned effectively and set up constant improvement methods;
•    He/She ensures that all performance and Kpi are respected.

Invoicing
•    He/She Supervises the invoices and the respect of the prices;
•    He/She checks conformity and validates the invoices and gets sure they are properly submitted;
•    He/She ensures that the financial targets are reached

Customs
•    He/She supervises the relation with the customs
•    He/She guaranties that the custom rules are respected
•    He/She establishes good relation with the Customs at a regional and national level

Pre Control
•    He/She manages the invoices to supplyers and for transit operations.;
•    He/She controls reliability of the client operations files;
•    He/She controls that all recap documents issued by finance and accounting department are Correct.;

Export/Imports
•    He/She manages the entire administrative follow up of the files and documents;
•    He/She provides effective freight operation overview on a weekly, monthly basis. He also provide mid term programs.
•    He/She validates and controls all freight forwarding operations;

Qualifications et experience

Real experience in African Freight forwarding operations
•    Experience in Maritime and airfreight
•    Multi site management
•    Experience of at least 8 to 10 years
•    Management of large teams
•    Knows to set up process and qualifications
•    Masters setting up control tools an Kpi’s
•    Speaks fluently english
•    African experience is a plus
